I might have a job!
Right when I had found out about losing work at Mercury, I'd gone through Kijiji to find any suitable employment and found an awesome one for working at Beaver Tails on the Rideau Canal. This was great for three reason: get to work outdoors in my favourite season, get to work for only a short time so I don't have to worry about the hassle of quitting when new animation work pops up, and I'm actually within walking distance to the Canal, so this bus strike doesn't hurt me a lick (hell, if I can afford it I might be able to buy skates and skate to work. How swell would that be?)
But after weeks of not hearing I figured I applied too late and they'd already found those they needed. Then I got a reply in my inbox today, phoned 'em up and bam! Interview!

I've got the interview tomorrow and with my past experience in food and customer service there's no way I can't get this job. Eeeeee, so happy.

Great fanfiction, or greatest fanfiction?

YES. YES OMG XD I was watching HIMYM season 1 while cooking dinner and just had to check and make sure and OMG YES TO EVERYTHING.
I've only watched 3 episodes of season 2 so far, but once a torrent pack comes out with all the eps, I'll be there. And once the DVD comes out, I'll be there. And when season three starts anew on tv, I will BE THERE.

This weekend has so far been a SUPER BLAST.

HUGE linkspam tomorrow, plus some very, very, VERY important movie news that you all have probably heard anyway. :P

Well, Board Game Night is a go! It'll start next Saturday night, with Settlers of Catan, unless enough people show interest in playing a different game. (I DO want to try that Arkham Horror that some of my coworks have been playing, but I don't know if my crowd is so much into that.) I don't know how many people are going to want to come while we're still in the crunch, but I think it's better to work and play, instead of work, sleep, work, sleep. And with everyone working during the day, I certainly don't get in my play during the week! Unless it's shopping by myself. Yay things. :D Maybe I should try getting a lunch date this week with those who don't want/can't make Games Night - Jayme's a little iffy on it for example. Looks like it'll be a good enough response though. Wheee!

OH MAN we were talking about the greatest thing in history tonight. The greatest game in the world - an all out brawl with every character imaginable. We just started coming up with various characters, what their abilities would be, who it's be cool if they faced off, ect. And there'd be items lying around too, like the Mario mushrooms, Alladin's lamp and the mask from The Mask. You could be a fucking Smurf, eat a mushroom, grow giant and face off against a dinosaur or something. We were just pulling every character we could think up out of our hat. My little ponies against Prof. X, Link against Hobbes the tiger, Donald Duck and Polly Pocket, teaming up against Mario. It lasted about two hours and were honestly the best two hours of my week. Oh man. I want this game so bad now.
