There was a weird smell in the bedroom last night that borked up my sleeping - I don't know what the hell it was, but it smelled insanely strongly of chlorine. The vents aren't fantastic and so we can often smell different stuff from the other apartments - my bathroom always smells like my neighbours food and my bedroom usually smells like smoke from the downstairs neighbours. I don't know if that's where the horrible chlorine smell came from, but now I have a headache.
I'm currently using scented oils to try and make the house smell less like a burning pool and more like cupcakes.
Birthday celebrations were fantastic. Friday was brunchtimes at Coras, where I had a delicious giant meat breakfast. Saturday was the big event at the pub. Big ol' group of my friends came to the party night at the pub and it was loud and awesome. Everyone kept trying to buy my drinks, which I had to keep declining because of work the next day. It was still great fun though. There was lots of shouting, lots of witty conversations, and lots of beer. I love all of my friends. :3
And with any luck, the curse of 22 shall now be over. It can only look up from here, amirite guys?
Today is a cleaning day. I might go grocery shopping, but today I've got to get this apartment back to tiptop.

Excited.
Excited.

:( Thanks ABC. Worst birthday present ever. Though I'm hardly surprised, the ratings were really poor this year. And it's not like some sort of cheap sitcom where they can keep it going and hope for higher ratings; PD had to be expensive with all the colours and cameras and sets and everything. ABC was probably losing money on it. Still, I wish they'd given it a full season.
Other than that bad news, my birthday went pretty swell. I first spent the entire morning planning on doing a little cleaning, but instead getting caught by TV Tropes and reading that all morning. Then I went out to watch Quantum of Solace with Chris. ( With whom I have FABulous adventures )Where we learned that apparently Thursday is Baby Day, when all the parents of infants who want to see a movie, but can't because babies tend to cry, can go and see the movie with their baby with no trouble. Other than two guys we saw as we were leaving, we were the only ones without a baby. It was super weird.
The movie was good, fun and exciting. And there was a car chase, a boat chase and a plane chase. I'm almost disappointed there was no showdown on a train, but it was still awesome and adrenaline Bond.
Then I went to work where for dinner I was whisked off to a party at Montana's, where we all had a fabulous time and drew tons of pictures on the paper tablecloth and I really wish I'd remember more to bring my camera along.
Then I had to wear a giant viking helmet while everyone sang happy birthday to me. Dammit.
Overall it was a pretty fun, quiet B-day. I don't quite feel 22, but like I've been saying since everyone else is older than me, I really just feel like I'm playing catchup. I'm going to try for another party-thing next weekend, since the studio's moving and I have no choice. I have to take that weekend off.
Busy busy busy. I can't believe it's the end of November.

Far into the future, when I'm on my death bed and looking back at my life, I don't except to have many regrets. I live life as a it comes to me and make small decisions with little thought and bigger ones with coin flips. I will be happy with almost all of the choices I have made throughout my life.
Except for not sending in a Joker-me pic to recieved cool and awesome swag GODDAMIT MOTHER FUCKER
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Well, work is over. Done. Finito. The contracts up and quite technically I could be sitting around and spitting on my thumbs should I feel like it. However, with my attention span this would result in about three minutes of entertainment, and then infinite boredom.
Luckily, there's some freelance stuff to do. I'm working on some extra symbol animation and the memories are coming back as quickly as the hours pass. And after what felt like ten minutes of leaning over the keyboard in a slightly uncomfortable pose to try and figure out a problem, I realize it's been an hour and a half and now my back really goddamn hurts. I'm a little stressed on getting the work done too, though I shouldn't be. It's just some extra stuff to make some extra money. For presents!
Speaking of which, it's the birthday tomorrow. There will be cake. And barbeque, providing the weather holds out. And since Trevor and Morgan and Nathanial are leaving the coming weekend, it'll be a nice little 'byebye' party as well, since Wednesday will be a hellotta work and Thursday/Friday I'm goina to Maine!
Hey, I'm now legal in the states, why not? ;) Also it's the Black Friday and I think would be interesting tototally take advantage of America's falling economy and deranged consumer habits see what it's like and maybe pick up some fun, cheap shit. Amirite?
Anyways, do have cleaning to do as guests will be coming over tomorrow.

Hahaha, the tshirt I really wanated has been bought for me! Such a joyous day for the Ama! Not only that, but a USB key that I thought was lost was found (I emptied my bag searching for it this morning, couldn't find it, was all sadface, went to get keys tonight, USB was right there. Bloody ghosts), I finall got the Fables hardcover 'Nights of Snowfall' and am feeling unusually giddy. Mostly unusual because it's, what, near ten and usually by this point I'm all zombified and sleepy. And sinstead, while I'm experiancing the usual backaches, I feel delightfully energetic. So I shall make a quite-rare LJupdate because doing somem Yoga and doing something productive, like installng my Adobe CS2. Or finding more things to download for the wtaching tomorrow. I still need to grab High School Musical.
3 more days until the convetnion here in Ottawa. I'm helping with the conventiony parts on the Saturday and Sunday, and doing general watching of the store on Friday so that the others with their good strong backs and arms can help. With the store hours and the free frames I got at Mercury, next week's paycheck shall be grand. HURRAY XMAS PRESENTS FOR ALL.
Yet, even more important that the convetion is 5 days from now - the joyful and wondering Ama Day. Where I am expecting a slew of gifts and a delightful party at the restaurant near the apartment. I already know most of my gifts because I'm sneaky and a spoiler whore, even in real life. The only thing I don't know is the gift from Tom and Jayme. And don't tell me, no matter how much I pester! I sure it will a delightful surprise come the moment.
I've completely forgotten everything else I was to write about.
Anyone got any good music recs/links? I'm open to pretty much all music except screamy metal. I just don't feel like my music library is large enough.

OH MY GOD I HAVE AN IPOD MINI THIS IS THE BEST BIRTHDAY EVER.
It's currently charging right now (it takes forever) but my dad apparently scoured the city to find the very last pink iPod mini. So much love. SO MUCH. I don't care that my body hurts from the convention and from working on storyboard/animation/design. LOVE.
Yesterday at the convention was fun. As said before, I was dressed up as Yuffie (because we share the same birthday) and I got a ton of pictures taken (yay!) and a coworker, dressed as Cloud, threatened me for stealing his Materia. It was totally awesome and I can't wait to do it again. Also, there were HunterXHunter plushes, Gon, Kurapika and Kuroro, and I couldn't get them! Sad face. Then we went back to Stephs, Steph got the sleep she desperatly needed and I played Kingdom Hearts until midnight, in which I did a quiet little 'OMG YEY 19' and went to bed.
Today was just regular work, with my coworkers trying to find a nut-free cake to no avail and singing 'Happy Birthday' to me three times. I also got some Pocky out of it. :3
And tomorrow we get to go seeCannon-rape 4! Goblet of Fire! Everyone keeps gushing about it, so I'm v. excited. There's going to be me, Steph, L. Tom, Tommy (I think) and Mark. I'm dragging Steph along because she needs to see it and because I don't want to be the only girl. Although it might be funny. Lookit me and my boy harem! Ho ho ho! I'm going to have to see if I can find Tori tomorrow to invite her too.
Anyone else watching the Posidon mini-movie on NBC? Jayne is in it. My sister and I kept flipping back to it, going 'OMG HI JAYNE'
That man will never, ever be anyone but.
BUT IPOD OMG YEY
Whaaaaaat?

You know what the sign of a geeky family is?
I bought some clothes from school today, mostly 'cause I needed a sweater, and noticed that they had green versions of Jayne's hat - so called because it looks like Jayne's hat. So, I bought one and once I got home I showed it to my sister, who squealed, grabbed it and shoved it on her head and ran down to the kitchen yellin' out 'Look! Look! Ama got a Jayne hat!' and my parents were all 'OMG really?' and we all had a big geeky moment. And the best part was that we had company and they thought we were all collectively on crack.
16 days until my birthday! Still haven't grabbed what I need for the Yuffie costumes, and since I don't have a lot of spare time it'll probably be half-assed anyway. Have to extensively plan out the party as well, for the weekend after. This? This is my joy-joy face.
Got a Narnia movie guide into the Shoppe today. I was gleeing like mad. We should be getting the toys in as well on Wed, which is when I'm going to pitch a spaz. We also have the Corpse Bride Macfarlane figures and they look identicle to the maquettes and one of the figures is the Generel and OMG I WANT. I am so, incredibly dorky.
ETA: Forgot to add that
